INTRODUCTION
On 1st ~ 2nd December 2009, School of
Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, had
successfully organized a National Symposium on Advancements in
Ergonomics and Safety (ERGOSYM 2009). 46 papers were presented and
published in the conference proceedings.
As a continuation from ERGOSYM2009, School of
Manufacturing Engineering is planning to organize an Asia Pacific
Symposium on Ergonomics and Safety (ERGOSYM2011). Similar to
ERGOSYM2009, ERGOSYM2011 aims is to provide an appropriate the
platform for experts from various fields of ergonomics and safety to
share and exchange their experience and expertise in promoting
ergonomics and safety. However, ERGOSYM2011 is not limited to local
participants only but instead extended to the Asia Pacific
region.

OBJECTIVE OF THIS SYMPOSIUM
The main objective for this symposium is to
provide forum on various areas of expertise related to recent
advancement, current trends and best practices in ergonomics and
safety to promote quality of working life.
ERGOSYM 2011 intended to provide opportunity for
ergonomists, SHOs, professionals, engineers, academicians and
researchers to present and share their works and findings on latest
development as well as current trends and best practices in
ergonomics and safety.
